Aman

Writer

As the current intern at Tribal Communications many important assignments come across Aman’s desk such as coffee runs and lunch orders. But after the food settles and the caffeine has lifted the mental fog, he delves into various tasks such as writing copy, copy-editing, and research.

While still in high school, Aman started his career working as a volunteer at a local TV station in Toronto learning various broadcasting duties. Finding an alternative to a science-based career, Aman enrolled in the journalism program at the prestigious Ryerson School of Journalism. While studying the various disciplines of journalism Aman decided to major in Broadcasting. In his final year of university he worked as an intern for the show Sports Journal at CBC Newsworld. Impressed with his work ethic and drive they hired him on as a contract researcher/associate producer upon graduation.

Recently, Aman has worked as a Public Relations coordinator for Punkworks (www.punkworks.ca), a team collaborating on a prototype for a space elevator as part of a NASA sponsored space challenge. Using his media background, Aman was able to gain news coverage of their endeavor through CBC and Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet. Aman was also responsible in putting together a presentation about Punkworks and the space elevator project at the Ontario Science Centre.

Aman’s experience at Punkworks opened his mind to the wide world of marketing and not long ago something else caught his restless curiousity; a job opening at Tribal Communications. Through his research and upon reading many business-related books and articles, he now finds himself engrossed in the world of sales, business strategy, and technology.

Aman has a BAA in Journalism from Ryerson University
